ALMSTHRE was created by three cyclists from San Diego, CA, whose relentless pursuit of endless adventures has always been in their blood. They seek to go further, explore more and connect deeply with nature, themselves and others. To feel alive, they believe that one should never stop exploring the unknown. They strive to get out of the comfort zone and always move forward. The art of doing is what motivates and inspires them, while passion is what fuels them. Gravel racing has changed. Races have become faster, more technical, and more competitive, and the line between road and off-road is becoming increasingly blurred.
The ELARA Factor was born precisely out of this evolution: to bring the speed, precision, and immediate responsiveness of a true road bike to gravel riding, without sacrificing the ability to tackle rough terrain, fast corners, and unpredictable surfaces.

The ELARA project was born out of a specific goal: to maintain the responsive handling of Road Factor platforms even when the asphalt ends.
During development, feedback from Factor Racing athletes led the engineers to thoroughly rethink the design. One of the key points was the ability to use tires up to 57 mm wide—not to turn the ELARA into an adventure bike, but to allow riders to maintain high speeds even on the roughest terrain, reducing impacts, improving control, and minimizing the risk of flats.
The result is a gravel race that is radically performance-oriented.

ELARA's geometry is inspired by Factor's road bikes. A longer reach, shorter trail, and lower bottom bracket help create a more performance-oriented riding position and precise handling at high speeds.
The result is immediate and precise handling: ELARA is designed to tackle curves, accelerate quickly out of turns, and maintain high speeds even when the road surface is constantly changing. High-speed stability thus goes hand in hand with agile and responsive handling.

'S AERODYNAMICS DOESN'T END WHERE THE ASPHALT ENDS.
In modern gravel cycling, aerodynamics matter. For the ELARA, Factor has applied some of the expertise developed with the ONE and OSTRO VAM to a platform designed specifically for gravel racing.
The deep-profile fork, the narrow hourglass-shaped head tube, and the aerodynamic transitions of the down tube and bottle cage area were developed to reduce drag. CFD simulations confirmed a measurable aerodynamic advantage even when using 45- to 57-mm gravel race tires.

ELARA features a true monocoque construction. The monocoque structure allows for optimized use of carbon fiber, reduces the amount of material needed, and enables the development of rear chainstays that are thin enough to provide ample space for the tires, without compromising the stiffness required of a race bike.
The platform is compatible with 1x and 2x electronic drivetrains from SRAM, Shimano, and Campagnolo.

During the three days of IBF, ELARA took center stage with an exhibition and on-track bike tests, offering the public their first chance to discover and test ride Factor’s new fast gravel platform.
