ALMSTHRE was created by three cyclists from San Diego, CA, whose relentless pursuit of endless adventures has always been in their blood. They seek to go further, explore more and connect deeply with nature, themselves and others. To feel alive, they believe that one should never stop exploring the unknown. They strive to get out of the comfort zone and always move forward. The art of doing is what motivates and inspires them, while passion is what fuels them. Therefore, when there is no end in sight, they keep pushing forward, because they are ALMSTHRE.

The New Generation of High-Performance Pulleys
When it comes to drivetrain efficiency, attention often focuses on the chain, cassette, and derailleur. Yet there is a component that is small in size but crucial to performance: the rear derailleur pulleys. With the new ALPHA Pulley Wheels, CeramicSpeed introduces a solution designed to offer greater durability, protection, and smoothness, bringing its most advanced technology to a compact format that is compatible with original groupsets.
Designed for cyclists who want to improve drivetrain performance without drastically changing their bike’s setup, ALPHA Pulley Wheels offer a new take on the concept of an upgrade. The goal is not only to reduce friction but also to increase the system’s overall reliability and ensure consistent performance over time, whether in competition or everyday use.
Handcrafted, assembled, and inspected in Denmark, the new pulleys combine CeramicSpeed’s proven expertise in ceramic bearings with a completely redesigned structure. The body consists of a one-piece, high-precision molded composite construction—a solution that enhances durability and helps reduce wear resulting from intensive use.
At the heart of the project are the renowned CeramicSpeed ceramic bearings, designed to minimize mechanical resistance and ensure an extremely smooth rotation. This results in a more efficient drivetrain, more precise shifting, and a smoother feel with every pedal stroke.

ADR Technology: Advanced Protection
One of the distinctive features of the new ALPHA Pulley Wheels is the integration of the patented ADR (Active Debris Remover) system, a technology developed to protect the bearings from dirt, water, and external contaminants.
The ADR system combines an advanced sealing design with a configuration engineered to actively expel contaminants before they can reach the bearing. The result is a significant increase in service life and a reduction in maintenance requirements over time.
To highlight this innovation, each pulley features the distinctive ADR logo integrated into its design—an element that immediately identifies the ALPHA family and its commitment to maximum reliability.
Designed to Perform Better
ALPHA Pulley Wheels also introduce a functional distinction between the upper and lower pulleys.
The upper pulley was designed to ensure optimal chain control and precise shifting, while the lower pulley is optimized to promote smooth operation of the system during power transmission.
This specific configuration allows you to achieve:
- Greater shifting precision
- Improved chain stability
- Noise Reduction
- Consistent performance even under heavy loads
- Longer component life
Rounding out the system are the new stainless-steel dust covers, specifically designed for each derailleur, which were developed to further improve bearing protection and eliminate the need for additional spacers during installation.

Performance Built to Last
The new ALPHA Pulley Wheels aren’t just designed to be more efficient. They’re designed to maintain their efficiency over time. This is the aspect that CeramicSpeed wanted to place at the heart of the project: to create a pulley capable of delivering high performance today, tomorrow, and after thousands of kilometers.
This philosophy is also reflected in the Lifetime Warranty, a guarantee that demonstrates the company’s confidence in the quality of its components and their ability to withstand any conditions of use.
